Samantha Mars

The African proverb "It takes a village to raise a child", is paramount for Samantha.

With over 10 years as a non-profit professional she acknowledges the impact of the village on the children, admonishing the community to share in the positive influences of children and teens. For her the transition from management to Board member required no leap, as she believes in the mission to educate, inspire and encourage. Having earned her M.P.A from LIU Brooklyn, and her BA from Morgan State University in Political Science Samantha's education and experience reinforces the GK values.  

Yolanda Ayo

Founder and CEO of Unique Finds For Kids (UFFK), is a happily married wife, a mother to two wonderful children, a native New Yorker, and a rising entrepreneur. She holds both Bachelors and Masters of Science degrees in Allied Health Studies, with sub-specialty in Health Care Management from the College of Mount Saint Vincent. 

     Ms. Ayo began her career in the healthcare recruitment industry over 15 years ago at a Westchester based medical search firm, where she worked her way up to becoming the Director of Recruitment.  She specialized in placing middle and senior level health care professionals in varied job opportunities and has established an impressive track record in the healthcare industry including the non-profit sector.  

     Currently, Ms. Ayo is running the day-to-day operations of her company UFFK. She is also a supportive member of the Parents Teachers Association for her local Elementary and Middle Schools.  Ms. Ayo brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to GirlsKorner (GK).  Her academic achievements, career path and community service coupled with her business acumen affirms her commitment to being a valued resource for the young scholars of GK.  

Jacquelyn Harrell

 Jacquelyn is born and raised in the South Bronx she is passionate about her community and the work that is being done to support the youth. With nearly 15 years of experience with non-profit organizations.  Jacquelyn brings her ambition, compassion and dedication to Girls Korner.  With her degree and education in Computerized Office Technology she looks forward to utilizing her finance and marketing skills to continually grow GK. Her ability to collaborate and work well with vendors, stakeholders and funders is sure to garner immense support throughout New York City.
